Fluid Health
Balance out your fluid levels with plants.
Education is everything especially when it comes to your body. If you are not educated on your health someone will profit off of it. So even if you don’t don’t get the supplements read the information below to learn something.
Water is the foundation of life and the highest substance in the body. Water in every single function of the body Different parts of the body have different percentages of water content. The brain is 80 to 85%, teeth are 8 to 10%, lungs are 75 to 80%, heart 75 to 80%, liver 70 to 75%, bones 20 to 25%, kidneys 80 to 85%, skin 70 to 75%, muscle 70 to 75%. This is why the balance of fluids is essential to overall body functions. Most of the fluid is inside of the cells called intracellular fluid (ICF). The main electrolytes are potassium, magnesium in phosphorus. Potassium helps nerve impulse transmissions, muscle contractions, maintains cell volume etc. Phosphorus helps with energy ATP and cell structure. Magnesium is essential for nerve, muscle and cardiac function.
Outside of the cells is called extracellular fluid (ECF). The main electrolytes are sodium and chloride. Bicarbonate is there for the assistance as well. The extracellular fluid are divided into interstitial fluid, plasma, and specialized fluid. The interstitial fluid surrounds cells, delivers oxygen/nutrients/hormones, removes waste etc. Plasma is the liquid part of blood, transports nutrients/hormones. immune cells, maintains blood pressure/circulation etc. Specialized fluids are cerebrospinal fluids (liquids that surrounds brain/spine), synovial fluid (joints), pleural and peritoneal fluids (plasma type liquids in the chest/abs area).
Water assist with cellular structure, transporting glucose/ amino acids/ proteins/ minerals/vitamins/oxygen etc , removes urea/carbon dioxide/toxins etc, regulate temperature, metabolic/chemical reactions, lubrication/shock absorption etc
Problems happen when there is imbalances in intracellular fluids. extracellular fluids, dehydration, over hydration etc. This is where the plants are here to help.
Ingredients
Dandelion leaf, black seed, juniper berry, uva ursi leaf, hawthorn berry, burdock root, bilberry leaf and mullein.
Dandelion Leaf (Taraxacum officinale)
Dandelion leaves are a natural diuretics. Which helps the body release excess water.
Science Says:
A study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine found that dandelion leaf significantly increased urination within five hours of consumption. It also supports liver and kidney detoxification, enhancing the body's ability to shed fluids and toxins.
Black Seed (Nigella sativa)
The active compound thymoquinone is great for inflammation/detoxifying which help kidneys regulate fluids.
Science Says:
Research shows black seed has diuretic and nephroprotective effects , especially helpful in cases of kidney-related water retention. It also lowers blood pressure, which is often associated with edema.
Juniper Berry
Juniper berry is a potent urinary tract tonic and natural diuretic. It works by increasing kidney filtration and urine production, helping to flush out sodium and retained fluids.
Science Says:
Juniper has been shown to significantly increase diuresis in clinical studies. It also contains volatile oils that support lymphatic drainage and reduce puffiness, especially in the lower limbs.
Uva Ursi Leaf (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi)
Traditionally used to cleanse the urinary tract, uva ursi helps the kidneys and bladder release fluid more efficiently. It also has antibacterial benefits that support urinary health.
Science Says:
Uva ursi contains arbutin, a compound that converts into hydroquinone in the body—a powerful antimicrobial and diuretic agent that promotes fluid elimination through the urinary system.
Hawthorn Berry (Crataegus spp.)
Hawthorn supports heart health and blood circulation, two crucial factors in fluid retention. It helps the heart pump efficiently, reducing the buildup of fluid in the extremities.
Science Says:
Hawthorn has been studied for its ability to improve congestive heart failure symptoms, including swelling and fluid buildup. Its flavonoids support vascular integrity and help the body redistribute fluids properly.
Burdock Root (Arctium lappa)
Burdock is a gentle detoxifier and natural diuretic. It stimulates lymphatic drainage and kidney function, helping to reduce puffiness and bloating caused by water retention.
Science Says:
Scientific research supports burdock’s role in promoting renal health and acting as a blood purifier, which indirectly helps reduce inflammation-based edema.
Bilberry leaves (Vaccinium myrtillus)
Known to help eyes they stop fluid leakage into tissues, which contributes to swelling.
Science Says:
Studies show that bilberry improves microcirculation and strengthens capillary walls, making it effective in reducing fluid buildup due to vascular weakness or venous insufficiency.
Mullein (Verbascum thapsus)
Know for helping out the lungs but also helps lymphatic system move excess fluid out of tissues. Especially when inflammation or mucus congestion is involved.
Science Says:
The mucilage compounds helps the body’s detox pathways which reduces congestion and fluid retention.
People should not take this if they are on diuretics, have kidney disease, pregnant, diabetes medication, blood thinners, kidney medications, have liver disease, on beta blockers / Ace inhibitors or blood pressure medication.
To get maximum benefits from supplements eating/ drinking better is mandatory. Example: 1.5 pound high calorie/ low nutrient meal is always heavier than grams of low calorie/ high nutrient supplements.
